Hector E. Zurita-Cruz is a Trial Attorney at Carpenter & Zuckerman, where he leverages extensive insight and a remarkable personal background to help injured victims and families fight for justice. His areas of practice include motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, serious injuries, and wrongful death, among other personal injury cases.
Hector’s path to becoming an attorney was borne from a life of unique experiences. Having lost an older brother in a fatal car crash, he’s able to empathize with clients who come to our firm amid deeply difficult experiences and provide the caring and compassionate support they deserve.
Hector was also born and raised in the small farm town of Othello, Washington, where his immigrant parents instilled in him from an early age the value of hard by taking him to pick fruit in the local apple orchards. Growing up, Hector also watched as his parents struggled to understand English, and often served as their interpreter when they needed to navigate various tasks and processes in English.
Today, Hector’s background has helped shape a practice that is based on providing clients with the utmost dignity and respect. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he often assists Carpenter & Zuckerman’s Spanish-speaking clients, offering them experienced and compassionate support while working tirelessly to help them tell their stories in convincing and compelling ways.
Hector earned his law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, he served as Article Editor for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the ASU Law Trial Team, where he was a semifinalist in the Regional Tournament hosted by the American College of Trial Lawyers in Tucson, Arizona. Hector also volunteered at the Public Defender offices in two major cities and earned his school’s Pro Bono Service Achievement Award with the highest Pro Bono Distinction.
As an advocate with a genuine passion for helping victims and families navigate the legal system, Hector has become an invaluable part of the Carpenter & Zuckerman legal team. When he is not fighting for clients, he enjoys spending time at the gym and the beach.
